NearMe (In Progress)
NearMe is a web app for users to obtain intelligent and custom recommendations on nearby or local events, activities, restaurants, places to visit, etc.., based on their age, gender, location, and their preferences.
- User Research:
- Performed user research through interviews and online surveys to understand target users process for finding local events and their experience with existing apps such as Meetup, Yelp, Eventbrite etc.,.
- Competitive Analysis:
- Examined existing apps to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for NearMe.
- Prioritization:
- Defined MVP scope and identified requirements for future releases including targeting potential revenue generating opportunities.
- UX Design:
- Created wireframes (See here.) using Balsamiq illustrating the skeletal outline of the app structure, functionality, information architecture, and user flow.
SmartShield (May 2016)
“SmartShield” is a low-cost power-efficient wireless Smart Lock product developed for expanding the portfolio of a large construction manufacturer into a new industry.
- Business Analysis:
- Implemented extensive analysis on the client’s product portfolio, market standing, and market potential to enter and expand into a new technology industry.
- Concept Validation:
- Conducted market research and user research to identify target market, user pain points and competition.
- Collaborated closely with Designers to create prototype and validate design.
- Demonstrated prototypes to client and focus groups to gather feedback.
- Prioritization:
- Defined feature scope and MVP based on market research as well as client’s product portfolio and market standing.
- Led project execution from idea creation and validation to prototype development.
- Led regular client meetings covering project updates, milestones and client concerns.
- Business Model:
- Developed marketing plan (Download here.) covering launch and growth - including market positioning, targeting, marketing and distribution channels.
- Created product and pricing strategy, performance metrics, and financial projections.
